Started collecting at 3:00 PM.\u00a0 Got a tank full by 4:00 PM.\u00a0 We setup the new quick connect hose to the\u00a0 collecting tank.\u00a0 When we opened the value the pump primed from the flow of sap into it.\u00a0 We were excited to see that.\u00a0 \u00a0But when we plugged in the pump, it didn\u2019t start.\u00a0 It was getting power, but was seized.\u00a0 Disappointment.\u00a0 \u00a0The pump was stored in the house off season so it should have worked.\u00a0 We reverted to the old pump.<\/p>\n
As we went back out collecting, lite rain started.\u00a0 \u00a0 Just as we were finishing we go a down pour.\u00a0 But within 30 minutes the sun was out.<\/p>\n
We collected 375 gallons at 2.5 Brix.\u00a0 Tomorrow we start cooking.<\/p>\n\n\n
