{"id":502,"date":"2017-03-04T18:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-03-04T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/new.mapleacres.com\/?p=502"},"modified":"2020-02-23T03:14:42","modified_gmt":"2020-02-22T22:14:42","slug":"ag-tourism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mapleacres.com\/?p=502","title":{"rendered":"Ag Tourism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had a work crew by 10:00 AM. \u00a0Got a lot things completed in the woods.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Moved bottles into the house so they are warmer when bottling<\/li>\n<li>Installed a light in the R\/O room<\/li>\n<li>Cleaned bottling kitchen<\/li>\n<li>Connected propane gas tank<\/li>\n<li>Setup finishing pan<\/li>\n<li>Fixed panel on cupola<\/li>\n<li>Cleaned walls and corners<\/li>\n<li>Organized tool\/stuff shelf<\/li>\n<li>Raised R\/O water tank with blocks<\/li>\n<li>Setup ag tourism sign<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ag tourism sign is from the <a title=\"WMSPA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wismaple.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wisconsin Maple Syrup Producers Association (WMSPA)<\/a>. \u00a0They had the signs made for members to put up in the sugarbush to reduce liability if visitors get injured while visiting. \u00a0Turns out Wisconsin has a law on the books, <a title=\"WI Ag Tourism Law\" href=\"http:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2013\/related\/acts\/269\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> 2013 WISCONSIN ACT 269<\/a>, to cover ag tourism. \u00a0This encourages farms to open for visitors by limiting liability to farms if they post this warning sign and take reasonable steps to make the farm activity safe.<\/p>\n<p>We also made good progress on our label and branding redesign. \u00a0We&#8217;ll cover this in more detail later.<\/p>\n<p>0 over night. \u00a0Sunny and 30 today. \u00a0Tomorrow and Monday warms with rain possible. \u00a0We are hoping for a sap run.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had a work crew by 10:00 AM. \u00a0Got a lot things completed in the woods.
