With thunder and lighting too. \u00a0 It started raining around 11:00 AM and didn&#8217;t stop until around 7:00 PM. \u00a0But the evaporator had to be cleaned so you do it in the rain. \u00a0 By 2:00 PM it was clean.<\/p>\n<p>Into the woods by 8:00 AM. \u00a0Back to the house by 7:30 PM. \u00a0All the spouts were pulled and the buckets and covers in before the rain started. \u00a0That was huge.<\/p>\n<p>After the evaporator was cleaned we had a final milk can of syrup to bottle. \u00a0That was ready around 6:00 PM. \u00a0After clean up we were done and back the house.<\/p>\n<p>Season 97 comes to a close. \u00a0 Total syrup: \u00a060 gallons.<\/p>\n<p>Song of the Season: \u00a0<a title=\"Let It Go\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YVVTZgwYwVo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Let It Go (from Disney&#8217;s Frozen) \u00a0Idina Menzel<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow we fly back.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Again. \u00a0Just like last season. \u00a0Cleaned the evaporator during a cold, hard rain.
