Collected 160 gallons of sap. It won\u2019t keep when the weather is this warm, so get it while it\u2019s good. 2.1 Brix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We had our sap hydrometers tested. They under-report Brix by 0.6. The sap hydrometer measured 1.5 Brix. With the 0.6 correction, the sap is 2.1 Brix. We noticed in past years that the sap collected didn\u2019t agree well with the final amount of syrup. An inaccurate sap hydrometer could account for this discrepancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
